Activists drenched in blood and locked in a cage for the 32nd NATIONAL ANTI-FUR DAY!

Montreal, January 16th, 2020 - SPA Canada and Ma Voix pour Eux, invite you to the 32nd edition of National Anti-Fur Day, the 14th February 2020, in front of the Canadian Fur Council, in Montreal.

At noon on February 14th, there will be a media stunt against the fur industry as part of the National Anti-Fur Day. This event, organized by the Society for the Protection of Animals Canada (SPA Canada) and the animal rights organization Ma Voix pour Eux, is aiming at denouncing the cruelty of the fur industry, while encouraging the public to boycott it.

A cruel declining industry

Each year in Canada, more than 3 million animals are killed for their fur; 85% of them are foxes and mink. The fur industry is cruel and barbaric. The animals are kept in small cages in dirty barns. The animals are killed in excruciating circumstances, without mercy. "The fur industry is one of the worst for animals. It is completely immoral to kill and make animals suffer for jackets. Let's boycott the fur industry!" explains Dominique Routhier, Director General Manager and Animal Biologist at SPA Canada.

"More and more fur businesses are closing down due to a dizzying fall in sales. Consumers prefer not to encourage cruelty to animals" she adds

Media is invited, interviews will be granted..
